february 21-march 3

oh, hello blog-town. it has been some time, yes? i am sorry i am too filled with awesome to make things happen sometimes.

ANYWAY, i took some pictures, and thought i would show to you.


Steph's squadron lost at hockey. She was sad about it.


This brought her to the realization that she really should have been cheering for the more awesome squadron in the first place. (yes, I posted 2 photos for this day, because you really need both parts.)


I am not sure why she is making that face.

Hi, I am awesome. (yes, I DO realize that these colours clash with each other, & I like it.)


So, I bought a new camera. Maybe this will result in less photos of my apartment, and more photos of the world.


Night building. This photo is more noisy than I would like....but it's too bad I didn't realize this in the past. Now you are stuck with it.


Dear guy who owns this car, pretty much when you leave your car running, and with this sign in the window it makes me want to break into it SO HARD. If it was not running, and did not have this sign, I would not want to at all.


One day I want to have a cute house, with a brightly coloured door. And gargoyles. This house doesn't have gargoyles, but mine will.


This is an arty photo of a creepy tree.


Tremaine's guitar is a beautiful creature. I installed new strings on it today! (I like re-stringing guitars, because I am a mutant.)

february 13-20

Ooops. Accidentally stayed up until 3:30....and then still had to fold laundry (it was all over my bed) and clean up the kitchen. Went to bed around 4. However, my TV is covered in things that are awesome.

Sean & I took the dog for a walk, and I took creepy photos of people's houses. These people have spiral trees.



Dogs do not like flash.



Still knitting the owl sweater. I think it is going to be too big, and I am going to have to take apart the body and re-do it.



Please ignore the fact that I am tired in this photo and had already removed my makeup, and focus on the fact that my shower curtain is beautiful.



Actually didn't even want to take a photo on this day, just wanted to make yarn.



I spent $11 on lip balm, and it is LIME tasting. Nom nom nom.

january 31- february 03

Partial update, because my camera battery died halfway through transferring photos to my computer. SAD TIMES. I should probably take that as a sign that I need to either get a second battery, OR remember to charge my camera battery more often.



Because birds can be pirates too. Tams & I went on an adventure to suburbia to visit their strip mall and buy craft stuff. I spent too many dollars, but did not buy this birdhouse.



Tams is a pretty majestic friend, and bought me a ticket to the superskills. This is the mega-intense photo that they show when Mason Raymond does something particularly awesome or terrible in a game or event. I kind of love it.



I cheated and took a photo with my cell phone for the first (and hoepfully last) time. My cell phone camera is pretty awful (as you can tell) and this was taken in not very awesome lighting conditions. Also, my cell phone creates EXIF data in GMT time? (I corrected it though, because it bothered me.)



Bought these stickers on suburbia craft adventure. They are owls, and 3-D and glittery. Sometimes, I am still 5 years old, and I am okay with that.

More later, when I have a fully functioning camera battery!

january 20-30

So pretty, and orange, and fluffy. It almost looks edible?



Hayface bunny. She did not want to move out of the way when I was giving her more hay....



It turns out that getting a haircut was the first step in Tremaine's plan to take over the world.... Also, I usually end up with a bunch of nice photos when I go to visit Tams & Tremaine. Their apartment lighting and my camera are friends.



I love this shirt.



Knitting. I am trying to actually FINISH things this year. (so far, so good. This is a hat that knitting is now completed on, and just needs seaming.)



Cookies. Pre-baking. It should also be noted that I had every intention of taking a post-baking shot, and then did not do it.



Bought this on sale at Ikea. I can see why they had basically a million. (the answer is that not a lot of people are as awesome as me, and it doesn't perfectly match their living room walls like it does mine.) The bunnies seem to like it, it makes them jump really high. I kind of wish I had bought two.



Not sure what's going on here. I think I put my camera in a weird mode, and then tried to take a picture in the dark, and moved the camera a bunch.



Probably my best hat. I like it a lot, and am pretty pleased by the fact that I made it, and people think it is store-bought.

I really really like this tattoo, and I think I want to have more added to it. It was incredibly difficult to get this shot right though, so that it showed all of my tattoo, and not all of my boob, and was not at an awkwardly unflattering angle. (this one actually is not even all the way right, and I was blocking the flash with my hand, and that is why it has sort of a weird shadow. I kind of like that though.)

january 14-19

Freshly stretched earlobe. 5/8". The glass tunnels I got were seconds, so this one is a bit wonky around the flare. Noticeable in this closeup, but not really when I'm wearing them and you see me normally. Also, you can see what the inside of my earlobe looks like. Awesome.



Geisha. This was a birthday gift from Matthew & Lanie last year. She lives on top of my TV now.



Why yes, those are red jeans. What of it?



Saturday morning. I liked the fog, so I pretty much got home, grabbed my camera, and headed out to take a few photos of it.



Sunshine. And my beautiful handspun yarn. Pretty awed by the colour of this, and everytime I look at it "Orange Crush" by REM starts playing in my head.



I love these new earrings. SO shiny.


In other news, I can once again upload photos like a normal person. Hurray!

january 9-13, 2009

Bunnies are messy, shed many hairs, and like food. So cute though. I am pretty glad that I have them. Also got a letter in the mail the other day that is a bill for tiny bunny. Should probably find an envelope and stuff so I can mail it back with a cheque.



Dear Tremaine,
The Roxy called, and wanted to let you know you're only supposed to look like a rapist when you're drinking there, not when you're at home. Also, that being unconscious is not consenting.



Lucas and Shelby claimed that they would be able to trade places, in respect to girls they were dating, without either of them realizing it. At which point I told them they look nothing alike, but them took this photo where they look disturbingly similar....sometimes I wish I had a time machine.



Decided that I don't have enough hobbies, and also need to learn to spin my own yarn. Tams helped some, but it seems like it might be going okay on my own? Who knows. I think it's fine though. (Also, my walls are pretty awesome.)



I like that Lucas has a shirt with a picture of himself on it.

This was taken in Lucas & Steph's bathroom. (I'm basically TERRIBLE at taking a photo of myself while holding a camera. Since this was taken with Lucas' camera, I cheated, and used the bathroom mirror to make sure I was getting the right things in the frame.)

I took a late skytrain home tonight and was the ONLY person on the train at one point...it was kind of creepy. Took some crappy cell phone photos of it....but my cell phone doesn't take very awesome pictures. Thusly, I think I am going to try and afford a camera after I get paid on the 15th. I am basically terrible at money, and have NO idea what kind of camera I want to buy. I guess some research is in order....

Delicious caffeine.

Walked Sean to work and bought coffee at work Starbucks, and will probably purchase more coffee when I have to actually be at work. Having a Starbucks in our lobby is pretty much the best and worst thing ever.

Also, one week of photos already? I am still pretty motivated to do this, even though my computer makes it incredibly difficult, and my camera is too cumbersome to carry around with me all the time. The computer issue is basically resolved though just waiting on my NCIX order to be ready for pickup...now to work on getting a second camera...

Started a cowl/scarf to go with new owl. Almost done, going to try to finish it today on the bus....

Also, I am continually amazed at how much of a struggle it is to get out the door by 10, when my alarm goes off at 7:45. Not sure how I manage that....
